Biography

 Tony Welter, vice president and director of refrigeration, has a way of making others feel at ease. Outgoing and quick witted, Tony never meets a stranger. He found his home with us at Henderson in 2001, and since then, his refrigeration expertise has helped shape supermarket trends for many top grocery retailers, probably one in your neighborhood. Working directly with owners, architects, and refrigeration manufacturers on developing new technologies and design improvements, Tony and his team also provide refrigerant conversion engineering and design development studies to help his clients save costs. Backed by ongoing research and decades of experience, Tony is sought after to speak nationally at grocery and refrigeration conferences. Afterward, don’t be surprised if you find him at the local piano bar requesting Foreigner’s “Cold as Ice.” Refrigeration is always on his mind.
