Jesus Alvarez

Biography

 As vice president and managing director for Mexico, Jesus Alvarez is responsible for all business, strategic, sales and marketing functions across the region. Alvarez began is career at Herbalife in 2011 as ethics & compliance director, responsible for the implementation and enforcement of Member rules and guidelines. Subsequently, Alvarez took on the additional responsibility of corporate communications, government relations and scientific affairs. Being promoted two years later to Sr. Director, led Ethics & Compliance, Corp. Comms, Government & Scientific Affairs and social responsibility. Immediately prior to his current role, Alvarez was vice president, sales and events. Alvarez has over 20 years of experience in the direct selling industry, having held a number of senior roles with major companies, such as Amway, where, as general manager for Mexico, he successfully implemented an ambitious transformation initiative resulting in significant growth in the market.  Alvarez is bilingual in English and Spanish and fluent in Portuguese and studied several courses at Thunderbird University and other institutes.
