Biography
William received his Master of Architecture degree, with distinction, from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is a Doctor of Architecture candidate at the University of HawaiÊ»i, focusing on how design, through the rigorous process of research, speculation and experimentation, can yield an innovative, engaged architecture in an era of diminished natural resources. William comes to Los Angeles from New York where he directed the design efforts of his firm’s work with an emphasis on luxury residential, commercial interior and cultural/entertainment project typologies. His work has been published in the New York Times, Architectural Record and featured in the Wall Street Journal and Billboard. William is also the recipient of the International Interior Design Association’s Calibre Award for the iHeartRADIO Theater in Los Angeles, California. William Tashakori joined Arshia Architects as Principal to develop the firm’s projects, manage the professional staff and direct the commitments of the office. He continues to be actively involved with design, documentation and contract/construction administration.
