Biography
Robert B. Flowers, Bob PE serves as Chief Executive Officer, HNTB International for HNTB Corporation. Gen. Flowers serves as Chief Executive Officer of HNTB Federal Services Corp. since July, 2004. He served as Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer. He is a retired Army Lieutenant General. As the Army's senior engineer and top engineering adviser, Gen. Flowers managed the nation's vast civil works program, environmental restoration, and construction of military installations all while leading the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' participation in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terror. Under his leadership 37,000 civilian and military personnel in the Corps assisted with natural disaster recovery efforts, regulated work in the nation's waterways and wetlands and provided engineering services to 60 other federal agencies and more than 80 other countries. Prior to his command at the Corps, Gen. Flowers served as the Commanding General of the Maneuver Support Center and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and received a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia. He is also a registered professional engineer.
