Biography
Al oversees areas of operations, information technology services, quality and outcomes, facility services and admitting. Al has been part of Homewood since 2005 beginning in Homewood Employee Health serving in finance and operations in the roles of Director of Finance, then moving to Director of Finance and Operations. In 2010, Al took on the role of Chief Integration Officer and General Manager of the Guelph Operation in the newly formed Homewood Human Solutions, as the former Homewood Corporation steered through a merger between Homewood Employee Health and Human Solutions. From April 2012 to October 2013, Al took on the role of Vice President of Planning and Development at the Homewood Health Centre involved with a major organizational change agenda which included the responsibilities of strategic planning, the development and launch of the Project Management Office, the identification and execution of business transformation projects and product development.
Research Interest
Over the last 20 years, Al has had cross-functional and cross-industry experience including: health services & heath care, light manufacturing, retail, heavy equipment, education, and telecommunications. Al currently serves as a Board member and Chair of the Capital Projects Committee for Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Al holds an undergraduate degree in administration from Athabasca University and a Master of Business Administration from the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor. Al also holds two professional accounting designations: Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.
