Kimberly Mirotta

Biography

Kim is the Executive Vice-President, Finance and Administration of Homewood Health. Kim joined the Homewood team as a University student 26 years ago. Through her hard work, dedication, and innovative business mind, she has grown with the organization and has been a key leader in the implementation of the current Business systems. Backed by a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, a Diploma in Healthcare Administration and the Executive Program at Queens University, Kim held various positions at Homewood, including Budget Coordinator; Senior Accountant; Director of Finance and most recently Vice President of Finance. In addition to these roles, she was also Corporate Controller for the Homewood Corporation and proved to be instrumental during the transition of the organization throughout the purchase process by the Schlegels. Kim’s passion for Finance has led her toward numerous volunteer endeavours as well; she was appointed as Treasurer of both the Homewood Research Institute and Homewood Foundation Board to provide financial leadership. She is also ex-officio on the Homewood Volunteer Association Board.

Research Interest

Kim has led a number of projects and collaborated in various continuous improvement initiatives across the Health Centre. She consolidated finances for the Homewood Corporation and was responsible for the quarterly and annual shareholder financial reporting. Kim actively promotes opportunities for further learning and leads the organization in developing and implementing accounting best practices and standards. Her experience and ability to bring clarity to a range of financial and strategic issues will be valuable as we continue to execute our strategy, while maintaining and building upon Homewood Health’s overall system of risk and internal controls.
