Marg Bellman

Biography

Marg has extensive experience in rehabilitation and disability management. She has worked as a clinician, as a senior leader with several disability insurers and as a consultant to public sector and private sector organizations. Most recently, Marg held the position of Assistant Vice-President, Group Disability at Sun Life Financial. She possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy and Master of Education degree from the University of Toronto.

Research Interest

Marg sees work as an integral part of recovery and views the workplace as critical partner in assisting employees to return to health and return to function, including work. She strongly believes in the need to use evidence-based research to inform disability management practice and is excited to be able to work with Homewood’s Research Institute to further progress return to work focused rehabilitation for employees with mental health and addiction issues.
