Biography
Dr. Yazdani was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Howard University, Washington, DC in January 2016. His PhD research was on the laboratory development and multiscale simulation of sensor-enabled geogrids. He co-authored one book chapter, 12 peer-reviewed journal and seven conference papers during his 4-year GRA appointment at OU. Dr. Yazdani is also a recipient of several competitive national awards including the best paper at the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Student Paper Competition in Phoenix, AZ and an ASTM International Project Grant in 2013, Best Paper Award at the 10th Annual Conference in Computer Science at OU in 2014, and the 2017 Best Teacher and Mentor Awards from the Howard University ASCE Student Chapter.
