Henry W. Bloch

Biography

 Mr. Henry W. Bloch Co-Founded H&R Block, Inc. in 1955 and serves as its Honorary Chairman. Mr. Bloch served as President of H&R Block, until August 2008. He serves as Honorary Chairman of H&R Block Financial Advisors, Inc. He serves as a Trustee of The William Rockhill Nelson Trust and Nelson Gallery Foundation. Mr. Bloch serves as a Member of Executive Panel at Consumer Growth Partners. He serves as an Advisory Director of Kansas City Equity Partners. He serves as Director Emeritus of H&R Block Inc. He co-founded Ameriprise Advisor Services, Inc. in 1955. He served as Director of H&R Block. Previously, Mr. Bloch served on the Boards of SBC Corporation, Jason Empire, Inc., Employers Reinsurance Corporation, and CompuServe, Inc. He served as First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, from 1943 to 1945. Over the past 45 years, He has been honored as an entrepreneur and philanthropist and for his exceptional service to the Kansas City business and cultural communities. He holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree from University of Michigan, in 1944. He attended Southwest High School.
