Biography
Lauri Linder, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Utah and a Clinical Nurse Specialist with the Cancer/Transplant Service Line at Primary Children’s Hospital. She is a Huntsman Cancer Institute investigator and a member of the Cancer Control and Population Sciences program.Dr. Linder’s research interests are in the area of symptom management in children and adolescents with cancer with attention to care in the inpatient setting. Her research interests also include novel uses of technology to capture the symptom experiences of children and adolescents with cancer and investigation of genetic mechanisms involved in symptom profiles. She is a member of the Consortium to Study Symptoms in Adolescents with Cancer (CS2AC), a newly-established group of nurse researchers in the United States with a shared interest in studying symptoms in adolescents with cancer.A graduate of the University of Utah, Linder also earned her PhD from the University of Utah. Her professional service presently includes serving as the vice president for the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Board of Directors.
