Biography

Michael Engel, MD, PhD, attended the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. He completed his Pediatric residency training and subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. He recently joined the faculty of the University of Utah School of Medicine and Primary Children's Medical Center as Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncological Sciences of the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Dr. Engel's clinical interests encompass hematologic and oncologic illness in children, adolescents and young adults, with an emphasis on hematologic malignancies including myeloid and lymphoid leukemias.
