Biography
You Han Bae, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Chemistry and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Utah. He is an investigator of the Huntsman Cancer Institute and a member of the Experimental Therapeutics Program.Dr. Bae’s research interests include selective targeting of drugs to acidic extracellular environments, which often surround cancer cells. His lab also studies self-assembled super pH-sensitive nanoparticles as a potential drug delivery system for treating cancers which are multidrug resistant. He is also interested in developing delivery systems for protein biologics, as well as improved gene delivery systems.Bae received a PhD from and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Utah.
