Biography
Dr. Mireille G. Gillings, Ph.D., is a Co-Founder and Non-Executive Vice-Chair of GHO Capital Partners LLP. Dr. Gillings founded HUYA Bioscience International, LLC in 2004 and serves as its Executive Chairman. She served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of HUYA Bioscience International, LLC until March 2016. She was President of HUYA Bioscience International, LLC. Prior to founding HUYA, Dr. Gillings focused on the in-licensing and out-licensing of products with some of the top pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Her most recent venture involved Organon (NL). She was a Founder and Chief Operating Officer of MIR 3 Inc., which she successfully financed and grew. She has been Director of Sente, Inc. since June 17, 2014. She is a Member of the Board of U.S. Pasteur Foundation. Dr. Gillings is the first woman to be appointed to the board of Quintiles and also serves on the Pasteur Institute Advisory Board. She served as Director of Quintiles Transnational Holdings Inc since February 2013. Dr. Gillings has made major contributions to the literature in areas of neuro-active steroids, drug addiction, neurological diseases, and anxiety. She was the first to in license Chinese innovative products, establish extensive collaborations with Chinese academic and commercial biopharmaceutical organizations, and leverage the Asian tripartite agreement to create value in worldwide markets for China-sourced novel biopharmaceutical compounds. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the biotechnology industry and is a published academic in the field of neuroscience. She also has more than 22 years of scientific, pre-clinical/clinical, operational and proven leadership in the biopharmaceutical industry. She is fluent in English, Dutch, French and Spanish. Dr. Gillings's education includes a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Radboud University of Nijmegen faculty of Medicine in the Netherlands and postdoctoral studies and post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Bordeaux in France and The Scripps Research Institute in the United States. Dr. Gillings received a B.A. Degree from Concordia University in Montreal.
