James Ralphs

Biography

Dr. Ralphs joined Idaho State University's Physical Therapy Program in 2009. He works in the on-site outpatient orthopedic and balance clinics and supervising students in those clinics during their onsite practicum experiences. Additionally he teaches, assists in labs, and guest lectures throughout the physical and occupational therapy curriculum, as well as, guest lectures in other departments covering areas of professional communication, physical agents/modalities, exercise, vestibular rehabilitation, balance, and manual therapy. Prior to joining the program, Dr. Ralphs completed his undergraduate work at Utah State University and his physical therapy degree from Old Dominion University. Following graduation, he worked in Washington State in an outpatient orthopedic setting and was a part-owner in a private practice. In 2012 he became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and in 2015 he completed his transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Idaho State University.
