Syed Hasan Founder

Biography

Syed’s research experience includes studying signal transduction pathways of Rho-A and Rho-E, small GTPases involved in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton, in their pathogenic involvement in hypertension and coronary artery disease. His research also includes the manufacturing and analysis of PBCA (polybutylcyanoacrylate) nanoparticles for drug delivery across the human blood brain barrier, evaluating drug delivery efficacy of nanoparticles with loaded medications in Alzheimer’s disease models. Syed has also been a Project Leader at Harvard-MIT Health Science Institute, where he led a team of various graduate and undergraduate students to create bladder tissue from single smooth muscle cells.
