Biography

Ashley grew up in Lafayette, IN, where she attended Faith Christian School. While there, she was actively involved in academics, sports, and fine arts. Since the age of five, Ashley has had the desire and passion to pursue a career in the dental profession. After moving to Northwest Indiana right after graduating from high school, Ashley began assisting for a general dentist in the summer of 2004. In August 2006, she obtained her Dental Radiographer License in the State of Indiana. Ashley completed her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant training through completing the Northwest Indiana Expanded Restorative Procedures for Dental Auxiliaries Clinical Course. In May 2008, Ashley graduated with honors from Indiana University Northwest of Gary, Indiana with her Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene. While in the Dental Hygiene Program, Ashley received the Patricia Hayduk's Memorial Scholarship and served as the treasurer for her class' Student American Dental Hygiene Association. Since graduating with her degree in Dental Hygiene, Ashley has continued her education and received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Business and Health Care Management. Ashley works within the DH clinic here at IUSD as well as in private practice and teaches Business classes at Ivy Tech Community College. Ashley is an active member of ADEA.
