Ginat W. Mirowski

Biography

inat W. Mirowski, DMD, MD joined the faculty of both Indiana University School of Dentistry & Indiana University School of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology in 1996. Her education includes a BA from Johns Hopkins University in 1981, a DMD from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1986, & an MD from Harvard Medical School in 1990. Dr. Mirowski completed her research for an Oral Pathology Fellowship in the Pathology Department of Brigham & Women's Hospital (Boston) in 1988, her Internship in the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts (Worcester) in 1991 & her residency in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California (San Francisco) in 1994. She is currently in private practice and has teaching positions at IUSD and IUSM. Dr. Mirowski is the author of over 40 print and web-based chapters, 40 peer-reviewed articles and four award-winning videos. She is an invited speaker and leader at national & international meetings. She was also on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and is an ad hoc reviewer for numerous other publications including the Journal of the American Medical Association, Pediatric Dermatology, Archives of Dermatology, Hepatology and Gastroenterology, and the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Mirowski has coordinated "Melanoma Monday" on the IUPUI campus. In addition, she belongs to the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women's Dermatologic Society​. She is the State Vice Chair for the Dermatology Foundation; Her numerous honors include being recognized as an AAD Gold Star Mentor by Dr. Bethanee Schlosser (2011), and she was selected Best Doctor 2011-present. She was the Co-Guest Editor for Dermatologic Therapy: Diagnosis and Treatment of Oral Mucosal Lesions and the Co-Guest Editor Dermatologic Therapy: Diagnosis and Treatment of Vulvar and Vaginal Disorders.
