Biography
Dr. Pinney graduated from the IU School of Dentistry in 1981, first associating with his family dentist. He then became a partner in a general dentistry practice in Tipton, Indiana, while working as a part-time clinic instructor in the Operative Dentistry department of IUSD. In 1996, he became a full-time faculty member as a Clinic Director. He maintains a part-time dental practice in the Castleton DentalWorks.
Research Interest
Dr. Pinney's interest as a faculty member is to prepare students for private practice. His clinical instruction and mentoring of dental students is focused primarily upon how students need to be well prepared for dental practice away from the dental school.
