Maria Blase

Biography

  Maria Blase is President of the HVAC and Transport Latin America business of Ingersoll Rand. In her role, Maria has full responsibility for the strategy, operations and performance of the Trane and Thermo King businesses in Latin America. Trane and Thermo King work together to enhance the quality and comfort of air in homes and buildings as well as the transportation and protection of food and perishables – in the most efficient ways. During the last four years as president, Maria has created strong teamwork, empowered the business to take care of the customer, improved operational efficiencies, and created a winning culture through talent development and data-driven analytics to deliver on our mission. Maria is an advocate and leader in Ingersoll Rand’s climate commitment efforts to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and improve efficiency within transport refrigeration around the world. Maria has 25 years of experience with diverse industries including transport, buildings, services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and mining. After joining Ingersoll Rand in 1999, she was promoted to global financial roles of increasing importance, including chief financial officer of the $8 billion Climate Solutions sector, before shifting to her current role in general management. She is widely respected for applying her extensive knowledge of financial management to drive business growth. Under her leadership the business unit has been recognized for its financial performance with Ingersoll Rand’s Premier Performance and Head Winds Awards. Maria is a CPA and a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, where she received both her undergraduate degree and master in business administration in accounting. In addition to being a founding member and executive committee member for the company’s Progressive, Diverse and Inclusive efforts, Maria also participates with local charities in the Miami area
