Ries Robinson

Biography

 Dr. M. Ries Robinson, M.D., co-founded InLight Solutions, Inc., and serves as its Chief Executive Officer, President, Chairman, and Director of Research. Dr. Robinson served as Chief Operating Officer of VeraLight, Inc. Dr. Robinson served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Advanced Development of Luminous Medical, Inc. He served as Chairman of VeraLight, Inc. He serves as Director of InLight Solutions, Inc. He served as a Director of VeraLight, Inc., HID Biometrics, and Presbyterian Healthcare Services, Inc. He served as a Director of Luminous Medical, Inc. and VeraLight, Inc. He served as a Director of TruTouch Technologies, Inc. Dr. Robinson initiated research into noninvasive blood chemistry monitoring in collaboration with the University of New Mexico School of Medicine (UNM-SOM) and Dr. David Haaland, of Sandia, in 1988. Since that time, Dr. Robinson has led Sandia's and UNM-SOM's research efforts in this field, and has co-authored several comprehensive U.S. patents and patent applications. He has authored several peer-reviewed technical articles, received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the New Mexico Inventor of the Year Program in 1992, and was named the New Mexico Inventor of the Year in 1994. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast and recently participated in the ultimate adventure of the New Zealand Eco-Challenge, a multi-sport non-stop endurance race covering 300 miles of rugged terrain over twelve days. He graduated from Stanford University in 1987 with a BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in controls engineering and received an M.D. degree from UNM-SOM in 1991, undertaking extensive additional studies in electrical and systems engineering. He completed a post-doctoral research fellowship with a joint research appointment at Sandia and University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 1992.
