Biography

Raghuveer Parthasarathy Physics Associate Member currently works as a professor in the Institute of Molecular Biology.   Raghuveer Parthasarathy research interest are Material properties of biological membranes, mechanisms of protein organization, advanced microscopy techniques, host-microbe interactions The Parthasarathy lab constructs experiments that explore a variety of topics in biophysics, focusing especially on the physical properties of membranes. Recent work has examined, for example, the mechanisms by which intracellular trafficking proteins may sculpt organelle membranes and the peculiar fluid dynamics of lipid bilayers. We also develop imaging and image analysis tools that enable these sorts of studies. See our lab webpage for more information
