Biography

Dr. Moddy Kiluvia joined our faculty in 2016 as the Chief of Psychiatric Emergency Department. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara – Turkey. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Cabrini in New York, and Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at Yale University in New Haven, CT. During his residence and fellowship he won various fellowship awards including APA / ASTRAZENACA Fellowship Award and APA / SAMHSA Fellowship award, and served in various American Psychiatric Association components such as Council of Addiction Psychiatry and Council of Psychiatry and Law. Dr. Kiluvia has worked as Staff Psychiatrist in various psychiatric institutions within New York state including Woodhull Medical Center – first with AOT program and later at Psychiatric Emergency Department, Westchester Correctional Department and Bronx Psychiatric Center. Currently he also works as per diem Psychiatrist at New City Correctional Department – Rikers Island Jail and he is a Doping Control Officer certified by International Doping Testing Management (IDTM) and Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). Dr. Kiluvia is board certified in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
