Biography

Dr. Myriam J. Curet McAdams, M.D. has been Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Intuitive Surgical, Inc. since February 2014. Dr. McAdams served as Chief Medical Advisor of Intuitive Surgical, Inc. since December 2005 until February 2014. She joined Intuitive Surgical in December 2005. She was a Professor of Surgery at Stanford University. Since October 2010, she served as a Consulting Professor of Surgery at Stanford University with a part time clinical appointment at the Palo Alto Veteran's Administration Medical Center. She worked for the Indian Health Service for four years and completed her Surgical Endoscopy fellowship at the University of New Mexico. She was on the faculty at the University of New Mexico for six years. She served at Stanford University Department of Surgery since 2000. Dr. McAdams has MD from Harvard Medical School and completed her General Surgery Residency Program at the University of Chicago.
