Mike Blazer

Biography

 Mike Blazer oversees all corporate legal affairs for Invenergy, and is responsible for developing and implementing corporate legal policy. He serves the company as counsel on a wide range of transactions in North America and Europe, including private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, project development and permitting, and other commercial business, and also is Invenergy’s primary representative on federal legislative issues. Blazer joined Invenergy in 2016 after seven years serving as outside counsel where he represented the company in a number of energy facility development projects. Blazer has 34 years of experience representing a broad spectrum of clients, both public and private, in an array of commercial, environmental, energy facility, land use and real estate matters, including construction litigation, environmental liability litigation, insurance coverage litigation, energy facility permitting proceedings, zoning and land use litigation, eminent domain proceedings, and administrative proceedings. Blazer has a BA in History from Loyola University of Chicago and a JD cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago Law School. He is a member of the state bars of Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington.
