Biography

 Ms. B. Lynne Parshall, Esq., J.D. has been the Chief Operating Officer of Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (also known as Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) since December 2007 and served as its Corporate Secretary until 2014. Ms. Parshall served as Secretary at Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since November 1991. Ms. Parshall served as an Executive Vice President since December 1995, Chief Financial Officer from June 1994 to December 2012, Senior Vice President from February 1993 to December 1995 and Vice President from November 1991 to February 1993 of Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. Ms. Parshall joined Isis in November 1991. Previously, she was a Partner with Cooley Godward LLP from 1986 to 1991, where she represented several health care companies in a general practice specializing in corporate partnering and other technology-based transactions. Ms. Parshall has over 30 years of experience structuring and negotiating strategic licensing and financing transactions in the life sciences field. Ms. Parshall has been a Director at Akcea Therapeutics, Inc. since January 2015 and Cytokinetics, Incorporated since February 7, 2013. Ms. Parshall has been a Director at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since September 2000. She served as a Director at Regulus Therapeutics Inc., from January 2009 to June 10, 2015. Ms. Parshall served as a Director of Regulus Therapeutics LLC since November 2007. She served as a Director of Corautus Genetics Inc. since May 2005 and VIA Pharmaceuticals, Inc. until June 5, 2007. From July 2005 to August 2009, Ms. Parshall also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Cardiodynamics International Corporation, a publicly-held biopharmaceutical company. She served as a Board Member at ProtoGene Laboratories, Inc. She serves on the Board of Visitors at Stanford University Law School. Ms. Parshall serves on the Surf Soccer Board of Directors. She is a Trustee of The Bishop School in La Jolla. She is a Member of the Licensing Executives Society and of the American, California and San Diego bar associations. Ms. Parshall practiced law at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. Ms. Parshall received her J.D. at Stanford Law School, Stanford, California and her B.A. from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
