Biography
Douglas Burr, M.S., L.Ac., has he has been a Licensed Acupuncturist over 12 years. Douglas has worked in health care over 25 years as a respiratory therapist, primarily in pediatrics and neonatal intensive care. Wanting to see and experience a broader picture in complementary medicine led him to pursue a graduate program at San Diego’s Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and is licensed by the California Acupuncture Board. Doug’s interest in community acupuncture and has grown through his desire to provide affordable healthcare for everyone. Douglas continues to refine his skills in pain management, pediatrics and Japanese acupuncture by studying with such teachers as Dr. Richard Tan and Ikeda Sensei from Japan. He has taught medical students and residents from UCSD about Oriental medicine. Being part of a fully integrated healthcare team has been a goal for years and he is very excited to be here at Catalyst
