Minerva Cortens

Biography

Minerva Cortens started to build and develop Diagnostics Project Management in 2010. Her team provides project management support in the development of companion and complementary diagnostic products from inception through commercialization. Minerva has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, of which the majority was gained in project management after five years in clinical research and development. Before taking on the DSL role for Janssen Diagnostics, she served for two years in a similar role in the drug discovery space. Between 2005 and 2010, she provided portfolio and project management support for the worldwide Research and Early Development groups located in the Janssen locations in Beerse, Belgium; Springhouse, Pennsylvania; and La Jolla, California. She started her project management office (PMO) career in capacity management for late development, supporting all therapeutic areas. Minerva has a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Leuven, Belgium, and a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Hasselt, Belgium. Minerva is also Project Management Professional (PMP)®certified and is completing a Stanford Advanced Project Management Certificate program.
