Biography
With more than 40 years of experience, Edward Butera serves as both principal mechanical engineer and principal-in-charge of an array of complex projects in both Nevada and California. He is a current member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) of the Southern Nevada Chapter. He is also a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Mr. Butera has taught at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and served as an instructor for the State of Nevada Public Works Board and the Cabrillo Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. In the early 80’s, Mr. Butera was appointed by the Governor of the State of Nevada to preside on the Fire Retrofit Board. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University. Mr. Butera is a previous recipient of the Southern Nevada ASHRAE Engineer of the Year Award and the State of Nevada Engineer of the Year Award.
