Biography
Cheezem founded JMC Development Inc. in 1972 and JMC Communities in 1978. Since then he has directed the purchase, development, construction and sales of 13 communities on both Florida coasts, totaling more than 3,700 homes, plus a successful partnership with Hampton Inn in downtown St. Petersburg. Other communities and resort accommodations are in the planning stages. The 2003 Professional Builder magazine's “Giant 400” issue ranked JMC Communities No. 161 in the U.S., with $113,200,000 in sales for 2002.
