Lawrence W. Sidwell

Biography

 Lawrence W. Sidwell is Senior Vice President, Credit and Operations – United States/Canada/Australia/New Zealand for the Worldwide Financial Services Division, a position he's held since January 2012. He is responsible for the Wholesale, Retail, and Credit Operations groups supporting customer service and credit management activities for all financial services operations in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Sidwell joined John Deere in October 1999 as Process Owner, Market Development for the Worldwide Financial Services Division, and was named Vice President the same year. He was named Senior Vice President of e-Commerce in 2000 and Senior Vice President of iVesta, the company's dot com joint venture with CoBank, in 2001. In 2003, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Ag Financial Services, Worldwide Financial Services Division. In 2010, Sidwell was named Senior Vice President, Credit and Operations - U.S. & Canada. Before joining Deere, Sidwell worked for Farm Credit Services in Perry, Iowa, holding the positions of Vice President and Credit Supervisor, from 1976 to 1985. He was Vice President for Rabobank Nederland in New York, New York in 1985, and went on to be Vice President at the company's Chicago location in 1988. In 1996 he was named Chief Executive Officer for Agricredit Acceptance Company in Des Moines, Iowa, and Director for South American operations. Sidwell graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 1976.
