Biography
Rajesh Kalathur is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Deere & Company, a position he has held since September 2012. He is responsible for advising the CEO and division presidents on major financial and strategic growth issues and for managing Deere & Company's worldwide financial and planning functions. He is also responsible for business planning and development and investor relations. Since joining John Deere in 1996 in the finance business, Kalathur has held positions of increasing responsibilities in the areas of business development, logistics, operations, marketing, and general management in U.S. and Mexican locations. He held assignments at Deere & Company as well as at the Commercial & Consumer Division and Agricultural Division. In February 2005, Kalathur led an initiative to set up the John Deere Technology Center India and subsequently led the integration of the Indian Tractor Joint Venture. He was named Managing Director and CEO, John Deere India in April 2006, with responsibility for the company's business activities in India. Kalathur was appointed Vice President, Sales & Marketing, China/India/South and East Asia/Sub-Saharan and South Africa for the Agriculture & Turf Division in May 2009. He was named Deputy Financial Officer for Deere & Company in April 2012. Kalathur is a native of India and a U.S. citizen. He has a master's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
