Biography
Dr. Geetanjali Chander is an associate professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include infectious diseases. Dr. Chander is director of the General Internal Medicine Fellowship Program. She holds a joint appointment in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She earned her M.D. from Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her residency at Rhode Island Hospital and performed an internal medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Her research interests include the effects of alcohol use and mental disorders on HIV disease outcomes. Dr. Chander was recognized by Johns Hopkins with a Scholarly Concentrations Excellence in Mentoring Award in 2015.
