Biography
R. David Yost served as Chief Executive Officer from August 2001 to July 1, 2011 and served as its President from September 2007 to July 1, 2011. Mr. Yost held a variety of other positions with AmeriSource Health Corporation and its predecessors from 1974 to 2001, including Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer from 1997 to 2001. Mr. Yost served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amerisource Health Corp. from December 2000 to August 2001 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President from May 1997 to December 2000. He worked in the Kauffman-Lattimer, a division of AmeriSource Health Corporation since 1974. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of the pharmaceutical distribution giant since 2001. He served as an Executive Vice President of Operations at AmeriSource Health Corporation from 1995 to May 1997. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of AmeriSource from May 1997 to December 2000. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force. He served as a Director of HP Enterprise Services, LLC since October 19, 2005. He served as the Chairman of AmerisourceBergen Corporation from August 2001 to October 2002. He has been an Independent Director of Johnson Controls International plc (formerly, Johnson Controls Inc.) since March 2009. He has been an Independent Director at Tyco International plc (formerly, Tyco International Ltd) since March 2009; Bank of America Corporation since August 23, 2012 and Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. since January 18, 2012. Mr. Yost has been a Director of Tyco Ireland Ltd. since November 17, 2014. He serves as a Director of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers. He served as a Director of Exelis Inc. since November 3, 2011 until May 29, 2015. He served as a Director of Aetna Inc. from 2002 to May 2004. He served as a Director of AmerisourceBergen Corp. from August 2001 to July 1, 2011. He served as a Director of PharMerica Corporation from July 31, 2007 to July 24, 2008. He served as Trustees at University of Pennsylvania. He serves on the U.S. Air Force Academy Endowment Board. Mr. Yost is a Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and has an MBA degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.
