Biography
Dr. Zuo-Feng Zhang’s research interests focus on cancer epidemiology, including cancer prevention and control and molecular genetic epidemiology of cancers, as well as HIV-related malignancies. His research team is working on mutations, methylations and polymorphisms of tumor suppresser genes as well as genome-wide association (GWA) studies of cancer. He has chaired Ph.D. committees for 30 Ph.D. graduates and been a member of Ph.D. committees for 30 Ph.D. graduates since he started at UCLA in 1997. He has trained more 30 post-doctoral fellows. Zhang is the author of 332 peer-reviewed articles published in national and international scientific journals and 22 book chapters.
