Anand Athreya

Biography

 Athreya is Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer. In this role, he is responsible for Juniper's Engineering organization. He also oversees initiatives that are transforming Juniper's R&D and test environments.Since joining Juniper Networks in 2004, Athreya has held various leadership positions within the Internet and Security Products groups, and most recently served as Vice President of Engineering for the Branch Services Business Unit. Athreya has consistently delivered successful products to market for Juniper customers, including J-Series, Junos Security Software, Branch SRX, MX, PTX, and ACX Systems, and has been instrumental in securing key customer wins around the globe. Athreya joined Juniper from Procket Networks, where he served as Director of Software Engineering. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Engineering at Malibu Networks, Assistant Vice President of Product Management and Strategy at Tiara Networks, and held management roles at Novell. Athreya received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, a master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Osmania University, and an MBA from National University. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School .
