Biography
Dr. Gretchen Lopez-Hernandez is an Assistant Professor of Physiology at Kansas City University of Medicine and Basic Sciences. She has completed her PhD in Biology, University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus (2004), and BS in Biology, University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus (1998). Her Teaching Interests include Physiology and Neuroscience/Neurobiology. Her Research interests include Medical Education, Cholinergic Modulation and Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptors. She has received several awards such as the Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award (IRACDA) (K12; NIGMS). She is the member of The American Physiological Society.
