Joe Magallanes, Pe

Biography

Joe leads K&C as President and CEO. He is an accomplished engineer, scientist, and technical manager, with 15 years of experience related to analyzing, designing, and developing concepts for materials and structures to extreme loads, especially those occurring due to blast, impact, penetration, and shock. As President/CEO, Joe shares his time supporting the company’s highly technical staff through business and technology development with leading Research and Development (R&D) and Testing and Evaluation (T&E) projects for several of K&C’s key clients. His portfolio includes a wide breadth of project deliveries ranging from assessing and designing structures for stakeholders, engineers, and architects, to scoping and executing complex R&D projects in the field of blast, impact, and materials engineering for the Defense, Space, and Energy industries. He has authored dozens of peer-reviewed technical papers in this area of expertise and has developed a number of design and analysis tools currently used in these fields, among the most notable, the Column Blast Analysis and Retrofit Design (CBARD) software and K&C’s latest releases of the K&C Concrete (KCC) constitutive model for computational mechanics simulations of quasi-brittle materials and structures.
