Biography
Ph.D. (1975; Biophysics) from the University of Rochester, Postdoctoral fellowships at Yale University (1975-1976; Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry) and Harvard University (1976-1980; Biochemistry and Molecular Biology). Joined USC faculty in 1980; currently Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, and of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Visiting faculty sabbatical appointments at the University of Virginia (Chemistry; 1992), Caltech (Biology; 1998-2000), and the University of Calgary (Centre for Molecular Simulations; 2015).
