Biography
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Dr. Rastogi completed his medical school at the University of Delhi in India. He then completed a masters in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2007. He worked as a research coordinator for one year with the Division of Neuropsychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Georgetown University Hospital (2008-2012) where he was the outpatient chief resident. Dr. Rastogi completed his subspecialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Johns Hopkins in 2014. RESEARCH SUMMARY: Dr. Rastogi’s professional interests include public mental health, consultation-liaison psychiatry, cross cultural psychiatry, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and working with children with disabilities. He is a motivated educator and is interested in training the next generation of child and adolescent psychiatrists. His research interests include anxiety disorders, repetitive behaviors as seen in obsessive-compulsive disorder and autism spectrum disorders. He has an interest in cross-cultural psychiatry and has published a paper related to barriers and facilitators for South Asians seeking mental health treatment.
