Biography
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Dr. Perkins-Parks is a child psychologist with special interest in the application of empirically supported, behavioral and cognitive behavioral treatment for children with challenging behaviors. Her primary clinical and research interest include behavior problems in toddlers and preschool children, early intervention and prevention, parent and teacher training, ADHD and behavioral assessment. Dr. Perkins-Parks graduated from Creighton University with a degree in psychology and earned a master's degree in school psychology from Trinity University. She has worked as a school psychologist in several states. Dr. Perkins-Parks obtained her doctoral degree in school psychology from University of Maryland at College Park and completed her pre-doctoral internship training at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. She completed post-doctoral fellowships in clinical psychology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and in behavioral pediatric psychology at Children's Mercy Hospital. Dr. Perkins-Parks has been a licensed psychologist in Maryland since 1996.
