Biography
A.W. also assists companies with complex environmental issues to develop corporate-level procedures for the identification and valuation of asset retirement obligations (AROs), conduct facility-level ARO audits and cost estimates, develop and assess standalone and integrated EHS management systems, and conduct pre-acquisition due diligence reviews. A.W.’s strength lies in helping clients develop repeatable processes that govern how environmental liabilities will be accounted and funded. Once defined, he then helps these companies prepare for environmental expenditures by incorporating environmental liability assessments into the facility decommissioning planning process. In addition, A.W. represents Kestrel on the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center Steering Committee at Texas A&M University, and is working with the Center on research in human factors and behavior-based safety.
