Biography
John Fowler is a Co-Founder of Kezar Life Sciences and has served as the company’s CEO since inception. A successful entrepreneur and CEO prior to leading Kezar, John has managed and successfully sold two companies and has served on several boards of directors. His experience with raising capital, strategic M&A, operational scaling and general management will be leveraged as Kezar grows. Until its sale in 2014, John was CEO of HealthCPA, a provider of patient advocacy and insurance navigation services. Previously John was the CEO of Aero Logistics, a specialty logistics provider that grew over five-fold under his leadership and was sold in 2007. John acquired Aero Logistics via Montebello Capital, a specialty investment company he co-founded in 2001. John received both his AB and his MBA from Stanford University, and now lives in Portola Valley, California with his wife and three children. He serves on the Board of Directors of OnRamp Access and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Since 2002, John has been a regular case subject and class guest in the entrepreneurship curriculum at the Stanford Business School.
