Michael D. Hsu

Biography

Michael Hsu is president and chief operating officer for Kimberly-Clark Corporation and serves on Kimberly-Clark's Board of Directors. A 20-year veteran of the consumer products industry, Mr. Hsu leads the day-to-day operations of Kimberly-Clark's business units, along with the company's global innovation, marketing and supply chain functions. Before his appointment to president and chief operating officer, Mr. Hsu was group president of North American Consumer Products for Kimberly-Clark, overseeing the company's nearly $8 billion North American Personal Care and Consumer Tissue businesses, which are home to some of the world's most recognized and trusted consumer brands, including Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex, Depend, Kleenex, Cottonelle and Scott. Prior to joining Kimberly-Clark in 2012, Mr. Hsu was executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Kraft Foods. Before Kraft, he spent six years at H.J. Heinz, holding the positions of vice president, marketing for Ore-Ida and Frozen Meals, and later as president for Foodservice. Mr. Hsu launched his career in the consumer products industry as a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton, where he spent a decade, rising from associate to partner in Booz's Consumer Practice. In addition to his role at Kimberly-Clark, Mr. Hsu serves on the board of trustees for United Way USA. Mr. Hsu earned a bachelor's degree from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
