Ben Stakely

Biography

 Mr. Benjamin C. Stakely, Ben has been President of Kowa Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. (formerly ProEthic Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and ProEthic Laboratories, LLC) since June 2005 and serves as its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Stakely is the owner of Pet Supplies Plus, the largest pet supply superstore in central Alabama. He served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ProEthic Pharmaceuticals, Inc. From 1984 to 1992, Mr. Stakely served as President of Stakely, Inc., which successfully operated a small chain of frozen yogurt stores in the Montgomery area. From 1992 to 1997 he served as a sales representative for DePuy Orthopaedics Inc., a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of orthopaedic devices and supplies. He also holds investments in commercial real estate through his B & C Properties, LLC. He serves as a Director of Kowa Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. Mr. Stakely serves on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society and the Auburn University at Montgomery Alumni Association. He is a proud member of the First Baptist Church choir and the “Good Morning“ Kiwanis Club. He attended the University of Alabama and Auburn University at Montgomery where he obtained a BA degree in business administration.
