Biography
As a designer, Aaron thrives on the freedom that structural engineering provides. His enthusiasm for the design process makes him naturally responsive and an easy collaborator. Concerned about the effect that building construction has on the environment and wanting to better understand comprehensive sustainable design strategies, Aaron became a LEED accredited professional and continually pursues study of green building techniques. He is proud to produce work that leaves a lasting, positive legacy for our communities. At KPFF since 1998, Aaron's work includes educational projects with an emphasis on timber framed construction and historic seismic renovations. Aaron managed the design of the renovation and seismic upgrade of the historic Oregon State Hospital in Salem, Oregon, which reflects the client’s desire to maintain the building’s historic fabric while making it seismic resistant.
