Biography

 Dr. LaCosse has the advanced training and passion to create beautiful smiles on the faces of patients of all ages. Not only does Dr. LaCosse have extensive experience in General Dentistry for the entire family, he is internationally recognized for his vision and skill with complex Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry. With a desire to offer his patients the ultimate in dental care, Dr Robert LaCosse is the first and still the only general dentist north of Minneapolis to have been awarded full accreditation from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. With over 7000 members, the AACD is by far the largest organization in the world dedicated to the art and science of Cosmetic Dentistry and only 300 members have reached the proven skill level of accreditation. Since 1994, Dr. LaCosse has been enhancing the smiles of patients all across the Northland. Dr LaCosse has also been awarded the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and the invitation only Fellowship in the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics. He is the only dentist in the Midwest to hold all of these honors at the same time. In addition, he was the first dentist in Duluth to complete the Post Graduate Continuum in Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Minnesota. He is a published author on the topic of Cosmetic Dentistry, a respected lecturer in Cosmetic Dentistry topics at several organizations including the University of Minnesota, and is a contributor for dental topics at KBJR news. As owner of The Lake Dental Group in Duluth, his primary goal is to work together with each patient in a comprehensive and caring way to achieve the best possible dental care. Dr. LaCosse and his wife Ann have 4 adult children and enjoy sailing in the summer and skiing in the winter
