Biography
Nicholas R. Scarcella, M.D., comes to the Las Cruces Orthopaedic Associates right out of a fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona. Dr. Scarcella completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Hawaii. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Dr. Scarcella is a member of the International Society for Advancement of Spine Surgery, the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Scarcella enjoys participating in triathlons such as the Ironman Triathlon. He is also interested in ice hockey! Dr. Scarcella is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine procedures. He brings these much-needed unique services to our community!
