Biography
Mr. Lazenby began his engineering career with the Federal Highway Administration. In 1974 he moved to West Monroe, Louisiana to join the engineering firm of Jenkins and Madden Engineering Company which evolved into the firm of Lazenby & Associates, Inc. Mr. Lazenby is the recipient of the Andrew M. Lockett Civic Affairs Award, the Charles M. Kerr Public Relations Award, the A. E. Wilder, Jr. Award for Outstanding Service to the Consulting Engineering Council of Louisiana, the Distinguished Alumnus Award in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the West Monroe Rotary Club and the 2008 ASCE Louisiana Section “Wall of Fameâ€. He was elected to the position of Fellow in the American Consulting Engineers Council, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He has served as President of ACEC/L, Chairman of the ACEC/L Transportation Committee, Louisiana National Director, an Emeritus Member and past president of the Louisiana Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Board (LAPELS), and member and past president of the West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Lazenby is also a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society, the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors.
