Mr. Ronald Wayne Burkle, also known as Ron, is a Managing Partner of The Yucaipa Companies, LLC. Mr. Burkle founded the Yucaipa Companies in 1986. Mr. Burkle is a Co-Owner of Lemieux Group L.P. He is Founder of National Urban League Inc. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Ronald Burkle Foundation. He works at The Lions Model Management. Mr. Burkle is a co-founder of A-Grade Investments. He is a Co-Founder, Managing Partner and Chairman of Yucaipa American Alliance Fund I, LP., Yucaipa American Alliance Fund II, L.P., and Yucaipa Corporate Initiative Fund, L.P., and Yucaipa Corporate Initiatives II, L.P. From May 1996 to September 1997, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Smith's Food & Drug Centers, Inc. since May 1996. Mr. Burkle served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dominick's Supermarkets, Inc. from 1995 to January 1996. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Food 4 Less Holdings, Inc.
