Biography
Mr. Seth M. Ellison has been the Executive Vice President of Levi Strauss & Co. since September 10, 2012 and has been its president of Europe Region since July 19, 2013. Mr. Ellison served as the President of The Dockers® Brand at Levi Strauss & Co. from September 10, 2012 to July 18, 2013, was responsible for managing the strategic direction, product development and marketing of the brand. He has more than 30 years of apparel experience with an extensive background of product merchandising, domestic and international sales, brand management and new business development. Mr. Ellison joined Levi in September 2012. Mr. Ellison served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Alternative Apparel, Inc. since April 2011, where he successfully evolved a t-shirt blank supplier into a global wholesale brand sold in key US accounts including Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Macy's, Dillard's, Urban Outfitters and in 120 countries. Mr. Ellison served as the Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Merchandising at Alternative Apparel, Inc. Mr. Ellison served as President of Action Sports/Active of Perry Ellis International Inc. (PEI) since November 28, 2005 and served as President of its Swim & Action Sports Division. Mr. Ellison was responsible for the merchandising, sales and operations for all of PEI's youth lifestyle and swim brands, including Redsand(R), Jantzen(R), Nike(R) swim and the newly acquired trademarks from Gotcha International. Mr. Ellison served as a key Executive at Nike, Inc. since 1996. He served as President of Hurley International, a subsidiary of Nike, where he was responsible for launching the Hurley youth lifestyle brand and expanding its global presence through subsidiaries, satellite offices, retail stores and license agreements. He served as Vice President and General Manager of Nike Apparel in the EMEA region. Prior to that, Mr. Ellison served as the Vice President of Design and Merchandising at Quicksilver Inc. He also worked at Authentic Fitness Corp. as the Director of Menswear for Speedo and the President of the Outerwear Division. He attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
